Messaging
Understand the limits of wallet-related messaging and verify critical details out of band.
Do not treat a wallet message, social post, or support conversation as proof that a sender controls an address or represents Conceal Network. Wallet and network capabilities can vary by release, and messaging features do not replace an independently verified transaction record.
Safer communication habits
- Verify software downloads through the official project repositories, not a message attachment or shortened link.
- Confirm important addresses and payment details through a separate trusted channel before sending funds.
- Keep recovery information out of messages, tickets, screenshots, and public posts.
- Do not assume a message is encrypted, permanent, delivered, or authenticated unless the current wallet documentation specifically establishes those properties for your installed version.
For help with a wallet workflow, use the official support route and describe the non-sensitive symptoms, wallet version, and device context.
